Chef Aggeliki Dermofsesian
Hello and greetings!
I am Aggeliki Dermofsesian, currently working as a chef. My diverse background has uniquely shaped my approach to the culinary arts, blending creativity, precision, and a deep appreciation for the art of food.
My professional journey began in an unexpected yet foundational role at a sail tailor shop, where I meticulously sewed the sails of sailing boats. This early experience taught me the importance of detail and craftsmanship, skills that have proven invaluable throughout my career.
Subsequently, I transitioned into the hospitality industry, where I honed my service skills as a waitress in a Japanese restaurant. This role instilled in me a profound respect for the discipline and elegance inherent in Japanese cuisine, influencing my own culinary style. My career path continued with hands-on experiences as a gardener and painter, further nurturing my creative spirit and appreciation for the aesthetics of natural ingredients and artistic presentation.
Eventually, my passion for cooking became the focal point of my professional life. I developed my skills in various restaurants, where I embraced the challenge of combining flavors and textures to create memorable dining experiences. Now, as a chef on a yacht, I have the privilege of crafting exquisite dishes for discerning guests, drawing inspiration from my diverse background and the beautiful maritime surroundings.
Personally, I identify as an artist and a creator. Each dish I prepare is a testament to my artistic journey, blending my experiences in tailoring, hospitality, gardening, and painting into a harmonious culinary expression. I am dedicated to continuously evolving as a chef, always seeking new inspirations and techniques to elevate my craft.
Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction. I look forward to the possibility of connecting with you and exploring opportunities to bring my culinary artistry to new heights.
Warm regards,
Deckhand /Stewardess Sophia Sechou
