Mario has an impressive career as a professional sailor with over 12 years of experience and a remarkable record of accomplishments. He has captained several prestigious yachts, including S/Y FREE AT LAST, S/Y ALLOY YACHTS and OQS CATAMARAN, accumulating two Pacific crossings and extensive sailing throughout the Caribbean, Mediterranean, and Pacific regions. With over 10,000 nautical miles sailed annually during his peak years, Mario has also demonstrated excellence in competitive sailing, participating in regattas like the Wally Record and Class 40 races. He has further honed his expertise through unique projects, such as managing the refit of a Hundested propeller system and preparing yachts for global compliance. Beyond sailing, Mario provides consultancy services in yacht sales and management.
Job description
Mario is responsible for navigation, safety, the overall running and financial management of the
vessel, crew, and guests. He always ensures the safe and efficient operation of the yacht, including
compliance with all safety procedures and regulations. He takes care of adhering to flag regulations,
port state and local laws and regulations, and manages the crew to ensure adherence to, and a full
understanding of, the vessel’s policies. He provides daily leadership for the crew and encourages
teamwork, individual growth, and personal attention by delegating duties and supervising all crew
tasks

Elena has cultivated significant experience in sailing and hospitality, serving as a hostess and deckhand on various prestigious yachts. Her career highlights include working aboard a 52ft catamaran and the 72ft OQS CATAMARAN, where she developed her skills in guest services and onboard operations. Most notably, she served on the 100ft ALLOY YACHTS, participating in two Pacific crossings and extensive voyages through Polynesia, Tahiti, the Caribbean, and Panama. With over 1,200 nautical miles sailed in the Mediterranean early in her career, Elena has demonstrated her dedication to the maritime industry. Outside of work, she enjoys sports such as dancing, volleyball, and horse riding.
Job Description
Elena is responsible for organisation, management, and cleanliness of all interiors. She maintains an accurate inventory of all service items and supplies. She ensures cleaning and preparation of the vessel to the highest standards prior to all guest trips and is in charge of vessel provisioning for both guests and crew, and all aspects of daily life. When guests are onboard, she ensures they are properly cared for and that all their requirements are met.

Yacht terms: Plus Expenses
The price includes a professional crew operating your chartered yacht, but all running expenses such as fuel, tax, provisions and any other costs are extra. Calculate between 15-25% for a sailing yacht and 25-35% for a motor yacht on top of the given rate with an APA cash payment made to the ships agent or captain, who will keep an open tap and produce full accounts of all expenditures.
