Sonician Crew Profile
Captain
CAPTAIN HOLDEN BAILEY
Captain Holden grew up on the beautiful Lake Norman, located just 30 miles north of
Charlotte, North Carolina. He always worked on or around water. In high school he was
a yard manager at Ski Nautuque dealership. He began his yachting career immediately
following his high school graduation in 2014. He joined Motor Yacht Bouchon (now
Sonician) in 2020 as the first officer. Holden was fortunate enough to work under a
captain whom he still considers his mentor. Captain Marks trained him and put him on
the insurance as co-captain. When Sonician ownership took over in April 2024, it gave
him the great opportunity to step up as sole captain. Sonician proudly kept four
Bouchon crew members on board throughout the sale of the boat! April 2024 not only
commemorated the sale of the boat, but his marriage to long time high school
sweetheart, Katie. The two got married in Stuart, Florida and was attended by all of the
Bouchon crew. In his spare time, Holden enjoys golfing, surfing, snowboarding, fishing
(salt, fly & fresh), hunting, and woodworking. He also considers himself quite the foodie
and loves trying new restaurants, playing with new flavors and smoking on his grill. Out
of his vast hobbies, one of his favorite is navigating and driving boats! Holden earned
his degree on the vast ocean, debt free.
CHIEF ENGINEER JEFF McNABB
Jeff grew up surrounded by boats in the yachting hub of the world, Fort Lauderdale,
Florida. He grew up playing and excelling at sports of all kinds. Jeff got his first day
working job on a yacht at the age of 18 in 2012, and landed his first full time position in
2015. He started his career going the deckhand route, but soon realized his passion laid
in the engine room. He joined Motor Yacht Bouchon in 2019, making him the longest
running crew member. Jeff joined the vessel as the Bosun, and became the Chief
Engineer in 2022. His vast expertise in both departments has allowed him to be a strong
leader on board Sonician. When Jeff isn’t solving problems in the ECR, you can find him
at his house in the Everglades duck hunting and ripping on his airboat.

Captain Holden first met on Motor Yacht Rhino in 2018 and have been good friends and

began working for Holland America Line, where she was fortunate enough to travel to

Sonician in April 2024 and has been loving every minute. In her spare time, Lily enjoys
trying new restaurants, going to the beach and rooting for the Boston Celtics.
