CAPTAIN HOLDEN BAILEY
Captain Holden grew up on the beautiful Lake Norman, located just 30 miles north of Charlotte, North Carolina. He always worked on or around water. In high school he was a yard manager at Ski Nautuque dealership. He began his yachting career immediately following his high school graduation in 2014. He joined Motor Yacht Bouchon (now Sonician) in 2020 as the first officer. Holden was fortunate enough to work under a captain whom he still considers his mentor. Captain Marks trained him and put him on the insurance as co-captain. When Sonician ownership took over in April 2024, it gave him the great opportunity to step up as sole captain. Sonician proudly kept four Bouchon crew members on board throughout the sale of the boat! April 2024 not only commemorated the sale of the boat, but his marriage to long time high school sweetheart, Katie. The two got married in Stuart, Florida and was attended by all of the Bouchon crew. In his spare time, Holden enjoys golfing, surfing, snowboarding, fishing (salt, fly & fresh), hunting, and woodworking. He also considers himself quite the foodie and loves trying new restaurants, playing with new flavors and smoking on his grill. Out of his vast hobbies, one of his favorite is navigating and driving boats! Holden earned his degree on the vast ocean, debt free.

CHIEF ENGINEER IAN TOUGH
Engineer Ian has been involved in the yachting industry for 24 years, working his way up from delivery skipper, to captain and then engineer on superyachts. The engineering side keeps him mentally stimulated. He grew up in the coastal city of Port Elizabeth, South Africa and found an early love of the ocean. He spent many weekends sailing, surfing, swimming, playing water polo, anything that involved water or the ocean. He studied architecture and worked in Africa and Europe before deciding to sail the Atlantic to Rio and onto the USA where he discovered the yachting scene.. His career has taken him to most parts of the world including Middle East, the entire Mediterranean, Asia including Japan to Thailand, the east & west coast of the USA and the Caribbean and Bahamas. He has crossed the Atlantic 15 times, the Indian Ocean twice & the Pacific once. Ian has completed all training and advanced safety courses.

FIRST OFFICER JOSEPH CANTALUPO
Joe is a local Floridian, born and raised in Deerfield Beach, Florida. He grew up on the water, spending his free time working and having fun on his friend’s and family’s center console boats. Joe joined the yachting industry fresh out of high school in 2016. He and Captain Holden first met on Motor Yacht Rhino in 2018 and have been good friends and coworkers since. Following graduation, she began working for Holland America Line, where she was fortunate enough to travel to over 50 countries. The pandemic induced pause of cruise ship operations prompted the exciting switch from ships to yachts in 2020. She joined Sonician in April 2024 and has been loving every minute.
