Lamima sails in the nine million acres within the 21 designated Indonesian Marine Parks and UNESCO World Heritage Sites only during 365 days of Summer. There are three distinct regions where Lamima sails following fair winds: West New Guinea in the Pacific Ocean, Lesser Sunda in the Indian Ocean, and Moluccas in between the two mother oceans. Accommodations
Discover the epitome of luxury with Lamima, a custom-built vessel designed for ultimate comfort, elegance, and safety. Conceived in 2012 by renowned yacht designer Marcelo Penna, Lamima seamlessly blends the elegance of traditional vessels with modern refinements for enhanced strength and stability. With 400 sqm of open deck space out of a total 900 sqm, Lamima offers an unparalleled sailing experience, capturing every breeze of the archipelago.
Lamima´s interior exudes a warm and inviting ambiance with a subtle contemporary Asian influence, meticulously crafted to ensure absolute comfort for 14 guests. Soft integrated lighting enhances the overall design, creating a soothing atmosphere, while portholes provide natural light and captivating views of the exotic surroundings.
The seven spacious and elegant cabins are designed around a theme of relaxed luxury with touches of Indonesian tradition, each featuring a luxurious ensuite bathroom, comfortable seating, and ample storage. In each cabin, guests can enjoy internet service, HD TV, iPod docking stations, and access to an extensive movie library for private relaxation. The master cabin is located on the main deck and the 4 double and 2 twin cabins are on the lower deck.
The main deck´s midship saloon serves as a haven of tranquility and comfort, featuring a bar, lounge, and a generous dining table accommodating fourteen people. Forward of the saloon, the custom-designed deck area offers shaded al fresco dining and lounging, with convertible seats and dining table that transform into large sun pads. Whether sailing or anchored under the stars, this space becomes the center point for group activities and planning the next onshore adventure.
The stern section of the main deck is Lamima´s designated ´relaxation quarter,´ providing total privacy for spa treatments and massages delivered by qualified Pijat masseuses. Guests can indulge in various spa services throughout the day as part of Lamima´s extensive offerings.
For moments of solitude or private conversations, a small zone of comfort and intimacy is thoughtfully designed at the base of the bowsprit on the main deck.
The upper deck, extending forward of the pilot-house, is dedicated to relaxation, featuring Indonesian sun mattresses for guests to unwind, read a book, sleep, chat, or simply savor the joy of living the dream.

Captain - Ifan Ranggawulan
Ifan has been leading the most famous Indonesian sailing boats all over South East Asia for the past 15 years. He has a wealth of local experience and leads with confidence. A true pioneer, he captained the first expedition boat throughout Indonesia plotting the dive sites and discovering new endemic marine life as they went. He is a great story teller with a vivid imagination and loves to share tales of Indonesian folklore and his adventures at sea. In his spare time he loves reading and cycling.
Cruise Director - Ali
Ali is your cruise coordinator onboard and also a dive instructor. He has extensive local knowledge of traditional Indonesian culture and is passionate about wildlife and marine life. He will accompany you on excursions with enthusiasm and takes pride in ensuring the highest level of service possible. With well over 5000 dives to date (he stopped counting years ago) and his professional manner, guests can be assured of the very best dive experience in the world´s top dive sites. In his spare time, Ali loves to surf and practice his Zumba moves.
Chief Officer - Rizky
Rizky Joined Lamima at the end of the build phase in 2014 and is one of the longest standing members of the crew. During his interview he said with a big smile and full of enthusiasm: ´my name is Rizky but you can call me whisky´ Initially employed as deckhand, he has worked his way up to Chief Officer. Rizky has a real talent for film and photography he will create a memorable video of your voyage.
Second Officer - Dedi
Born in Ara into a boat building family, Dedi decided at the age of 18 to embrace life at sea and went to school to get his certificate. Dedi has Captained smaller boats before joining Lamima as second officer. He has a great seamanship skills and is passionate about his job. He loves football and singing.
Chief Stewardess - Eka
Eka hails from Bali and is a dynamic member of the interior crew. She is an experienced professional in hospitality and has a bubbly and spontaneous personality. She loves creating beautiful flowers and table decorations and enjoys discovering Lamima´s different exotic cruising grounds. Eka is highly organized and ensures her team is doing a great job all the time. Our guests love her and the kids follow her everywhere on the boat. She is also a talented Balinese dancer and will happily show you a dance move or two.
Steward - Martin
Martin is also from Bali. He is a professional barista and very artistic in making Latte art. He was the winner of the ´Captain Morgan Mixochef´ competition in 2021. Martin is passionate about making new cocktails and always excited for you to try his ´special of the day´. He will create your own personalized drink for you to enjoy during your stay.
Steward - Agung
Agung, is our youngest crew member and is also from Bali. He is very energetic with a good eye for detail. He will make sure you have what you need before you even think about it.
He loves football, singing and... kickboxing!
Steward - Chris
Chris is from Bali, he has been in hospitality for many years as bartender, waiter and bar manager. He is very sociable and enjoys keeping children happy with his drinks and snacks. He loves juggling and guests will be able to witness this special talent during the beach barbecue. He also loves making his own special cocktails.
First Deckhand - Bambang
Bambang is from Java and is a marine carpenter from trade. He joined Lamima 6 years ago as he wanted to try sailing, he loved it and show excellent skills in maneuvering tenders, watchkeeping, and obviously all the woodwork necessary on a wooden boat.
Bambang is a very friendly and resourceful crew. He loves to be in charge of the decoration of our BBQ set up on the beach.
Second Deckhand - Man
Man comes from Eastern Java, where woodworking is the field of expertise. He used to be a marine carpenter in Bali before the love of the ocean and travel drove him to join Lamima. Aliman brings experience along with good humour to Lamima and is also known a MacGyver as he can fix anything. In his spare time, he loves football and is a talented striker. He loves to play with the locals in the villages that Lamima visits.
Third Deckhand - Andi
Eriyandi is from Ara, the Mecca of boat building in Sulawesi. He has built and refitted several phinisis and joined the crew recently. Andi is a highly skilled marine carpenter and plays a key role during the maintenance periods. During charter, he is very attentive to any guests´ needs.
Dive Master - Martin
Martin has been diving for the past 15 years. Being a native from Labuan Bajo, Martin knows every single island and dive spot in the area and his local knowledge is a huge asset for clients. He is a very enthusiastic and friendly person and the local kids from the villages we visit love to play with him.
In his spare time, he practices singing with our ´Lamima band´.
Head Chef - Yudha
Yudha grew up in Java and Bali. He went to the culinary school in Nusa Dua and worked in some of the high-end restaurants and 4 stars hotels as an executive chef in Bali. Before joining Lamima, Yudha worked for 5 years as the head chef on Sailing Yacht Silolona. Yudha has a wide range of culinary skills and loves to cook Mediterranean dishes as well as Asian.
He is very enthusiastic and creative. He will make sure that you will love any single dish during your stay.
Yudha is a talented guitar player and singer and is a great addition to our famous “Lamima Band”.
Assistant Chef - Putu
Putu used to work as a head chef in Aranui liveaboard for more than 7 years and decided to join Lamima in 2021. He works harmoniously with the head chef. He is very good at cooking Indonesian and Mexican food. Putu has a very likable personality and enjoys working out during his spare time with the crew.
First Masseuse - Koko
Koko is from Bali was trained in the renowned massage school of Bali Chytra International. Koko loves the adventure and diversity that being on Lamima brings not to mention being able to work in spectacular surroundings. Koko is also a trained Hatha Yoga instructor and practices yoga every morning at sunrise. Guests are more than welcome to join her.
Second Masseuse - Listi
Listi is from Bali, and has wide experience in high end resorts as a masseuse, and she also has good knowledge of physiotherapy.
Listi is gentle and very kind and likes reading and sport in general.
Chief Engineer - Voengky
Voengky grew up in Surabaya and graduated from the merchant marine to become a marine engineer. Lamima is the first luxury yacht he has worked on and he loves bringing his experience and professionalism to the diversity this role brings. His hobbies are singing and football.
First Engineer - Bono
Bono is from Central Java. He studied mechanics in high school and started to work on merchant ships at 21. He moved later to dive boats and sailing yachts where he gained a lot of valuable experience. Bono loves music. He is a good guitar player, and his singing gave him his nickname.
Second Engineer - Surya
Surya is from Semarang, a vibrant city in central Java. Before joining Lamima, Surya worked on commercial ships and dive boats. Surya likes volleyball and football.
Oiler - Khoirul
Khoirul joined Lamima recently. He is a graduate from a mechanic school and had previously worked on cargo as engineer. Khoirul is enthusiastic and a good guitar player.
